Character Actors Of Yesterday Giving Tips To Today's Actors

When I got the chance to be in Hollywood from Baltimore a while back,I met some blasts from the past that I grew up watching on the tube!Joe Roman from "Quincy" came to mind!He co-starred with Jack Klugman("The Odd Couple") and was very frank when he expressed his views on how future actors can succeed today in the biz! That was to remain sober and allow people to adknowledge that you're dead serious about you're trying to accomplish!Van Ftzpatrick("Moonlighting")had no regrets about entering show-biz either! Now a scriptwriter,he advises the younger crowd to chose something else if they are having trouble finding acting careers(gigs). Two seasons ago,I saw the FOX sitcom,"Back To You" with Kelsey Grammer and Patricia Heaton. One of the actors that I met and talked with from that series was George Poe.A native Virginian raised on a farm,he wanted to escape that way of life and accomplished his goal.He tells the kids to follow their dreams, goals, and ambitions and stick with them.I can recall watching the new shows where every so often,an actor from the past would make a guest appearence or comeback by getting his or her own show.I enjoy yesterday's actors doing that because they remind me of how it used to be,and sometimes should be!
